Emma grew up in the North East of England but moved to London when she got her break in the industry via the Screenskills HETV Trainee Finder programme, in 2017.
Prior to this, Emma studied Art and Design at Newcastle College and graduated with a foundation diploma in 2008. After a short hiatus which involved moving abroad to Spain, she came back to the UK to study Film Production at the University of Gloucestershire, graduating with a first class honours degree in 2014. It was there she discovered editing, and decided it was what she wanted to pursue as a career.
Over the past several years, she has stepped up through the ranks in high end television - from trainee, second and first assistant editor, assembly editor and now editor. During these years, she has been fortunate to work with some of the industries most talented editors who have helped inspire her to hone her craft as an editor.
In 2021, she was selected to join the Screenskills Leaders of Tomorrow Programme, a 3 year scheme which identifies and supports new talent in the industry.
She is an experienced high end TV drama editor that has worked across multiple high end tv drama series such as HOUSE OF THE DRAGON (HBO) and ERIC (Sister Pictures, Netflix). Her latest position has been as an editor on TV drama series RED EYE (Bad Wolf, ITV).
Emma is currently represented by Hannah Philips at UTA.
